AEXN architects

This proposal for Jurgis Dobkevičius Progymnasium in Kaunas reimagines part of the school’s facilities with a focus on flexible, community-oriented spaces. Classrooms are arranged along the building’s perimeter, allowing shared spaces to flow seamlessly between the interior and exterior. Outdoor areas feature amphitheaters, a multifunctional activity zone, separate courtyards for various uses—including a stage and a dining terrace—and more. Wooden interior elements create a sense of calm and extend outdoors as amphitheater cladding, harmoniously blending the new additions with the existing structures.
