The project aims to harmoniously integrate the natural and urban context with contemporary educational concepts into a new, contextual educational complex – a kindergarten. The design envisions bright, playful, and welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces that meet the needs of both the educational institution and the local Jeruzalė community. The building’s architecture is shaped by the site’s specific conditions – its north–south orientation, the northern slope, existing mature trees, and the public green space on the southern side. The complex is carefully adapted to the terrain and vegetation, preserving all existing trees. A child-friendly scale, natural wooden shingle cladding, varied window sizes, and vibrant colors create a cheerful and inviting character. The pitched roofs give the building a whimsical silhouette reminiscent of fairy-tale gnome hats. The aim is to make the complex not only a place for children’s learning but also a vibrant community hub, standing out from the surrounding apartment blocks and terraced houses while respecting the landscape and its natural features.
