REarchitecture is an architectural concept that explores architecture not as a finished object, but as a constantly evolving social, cultural, and spatial process. At the heart of the project lies the prefix “RE”, symbolizing renewal, reinterpretation, reuse, and the restoration of connections.
The centerpiece of the work is the performative installation “RE”, inviting architects and visitors to become active participants in the creative process. Through the continuous transformation and reinterpretation of wooden modular elements, the installation becomes a metaphor for collective creativity, memory, and architectural identity. Each new configuration reflects different perspectives, shared experiences, and the dynamics of collaboration.
The project examines the relationship between society and architecture, addressing themes of adaptive reuse, public space, modernist heritage, architectural activism, and community-driven initiatives. Wood functions not only as a structural material but also as a tactile and sensory medium, evoking a deep connection with Lithuanian culture and architectural traditions.
REarchitecture presents architecture as a living phenomenon shaped by people, experiences, discussions, and collective imagination. It is an invitation to rethink how we create, inhabit, and rediscover the spaces that define our everyday lives.
