Our proposal for the Pavilniai Community House reconstruction competition secured 2nd place.
The spatial and urbanistic concept of the team’s comprehensive proposal aims to preserve the unique morphotype and character of Pavilniai homestead construction. The proposed public space is envisioned as a garden next to the house, maintaining the existing trees while incorporating recreational and sports areas and pathways within the space, as well as community garden beds, among other features. The architectural concept is a contextual building with a silhouette characteristic of the historical architecture of the district. Compositionally, the structure consists of two volumes with pitched roofs unified by a single-story section. From the street side, the building harmonizes with the surrounding structures in terms of scale and shape.
