The 7,500 m² complex consists of two main sections: a swimming pool facility and a multi-purpose sports hall. The pool will feature four 25-meter lanes, spectator stands, locker rooms, administrative spaces, and a spa area with saunas and a jacuzzi. The other section will house a multi-purpose sports hall, meeting Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) requirements, with a seating capacity of at least 1,400.

“This project is remarkable not only for addressing the needs of the local community, but also for shaping the architectural character of the city. The Gargždai Sports Center will serve as a hub where sports, education, and relaxation converge in a modern, visually striking complex,” says Tomas Grunskis.

The architectural concept aims to seamlessly merge the building’s distinct volumes into a unified whole through transparent inner spaces, while the exterior volumes are wrapped in wooden panels that create a cohesive outer shell.
